Home from our trip to Ireland and England, an extraordinary tour with Triskel Tours that was beyond our wildest expectations! A bus load of the greatest people who we’d never before met became fast friends as we explored rugged Achill Island on the Atlantic; the gorgeous countryside along the Wild Atlantic Way; into mid country with many small quaint towns; about 3 million sheep; restaurants(fish and chips! shepherd’s pie! seafood chowder!); pubs(
); bustling and historic Dublin with visits to Guinness, Jameson Whiskey, Trinity College, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, more pubs; and south and then west again to view many castles and churches with spectacular architecture and antiquities! Along the way we slept at Ashford Castle, charming B &B’s and manors all staffed with lovely, friendly people. Our hosts, Marc, Michelle and tour guide and driver Brian filled our heads with history, fun facts, and snippets of the Irish language, and sang and joked with us all the way!! Dear and thoughtful people they were, who went the extra mile to make this the best trip ever! We can’t thank them and our bus friends enough for the fantastic memories!!

Everything! Tour guides: super prep and planning yet no pressure to hurry if we wanted to linger. Extra special attention paid to each person – we felt well taken care of and pampered. Incredibly informed tour bus driver – educational and humorous. Tour itself touched as much variety, and covered as much ground as possible in our 12 days, yet we didn’t feel rushed, but relaxed. Highly recommend this amazing tour and these wonderful tour guides! You’ll come back with a bit ‘o understanding of Irish culture, and a deep appreciation for all that’s transpired there!
